Behind the Scenes in Bali
By now you've probably seen our carving ads on Social Media? You probably even own a few of our Bali Necklaces™, Bracelets and Earrings. Wouldn't it be cool to know more about where your piece of art comes from?
This year we're working to give our followers and supporters a closer look at what... where... who... and why in a new series of videos that we're putting together! A bit more of a personal look into our carving process here on the Tropical Island of Bali.
Meet two of our lead team members, Ketut and Wayan.
Ketut is a 4th-generation carver and Wayan is responsible for the team that hand braids each bamboo-cotton cord on your Bali Necklaces and bracelets.
Each of your Bali Necklaces, Bracelets and Earrings are hand carved from repurposed, water-buffalo bone. Some designs use wood or abalone sea shell as well. These materials are strong... they're durable... and the best part? They're 100% sustainable.
Each cord of your Bali Necklaces and bracelets are hand braided.
We use a soft, bamboo cotton. This means that between your carvings and the cords all of our jewelry is 100% sustainable. No plastics. No resins. Just high-quality, unique materials.
And don't forget!
Each Bali carving not only helps to support our carving village in Bali. They also help to support our on-going efforts in Coral Reef Conservation! (but that's a story for another time).
