Each Bali Necklace helps to fund Coral Reef Conservation! Learn about our efforts!
Our Abalone Hei Matau necklace is a hand-carved representation of the traditional Hei Matau design made by the Māori - It represents Strength and Safe Passage over water. The fish hook shape finds its origins in Māori legend, that the North Island of New Zealand was once a huge fish that was caught by the great mariner Maui, using only a woven line and a hook made from the jawbone of his grandmother.
Each Bali Necklace is hand carved on the tropical island of Bali and shipped from the USA. Because we use 100% natural materials, there may be some slight imperfections in each piece. See our workshop.
